TVQG members are invited to make the Bento Box Block as the October Block-of-the-Month. Instructions are available in the members-only section. It’s suggested your fabric choices be reds with white tone-on-tone or off-white. We’ll hold a drawing for the blocks at our October 17th meeting.

Linda Reinert to Speak at September Meeting

TVQG’s September speaker is Linda Reinert. Linda is a quilter that has worked with fabric most of her life but says that in the early 1990’s she became a quilter and thrives on quilting’s endless possibilities.

September Block-of-the-Month

TVQG members are invited to make the September block as the September Block-of-the-Month. Instructions are available in the members-only section.  It’s suggested your fabric choices be a print fabric in either red or blue with beige or cream print, with an extra red or blue fabric piece to be used in the quilt’s border. We’ll hold a drawing for the blocks at our September 18th meeting.

Janet Fogg to Speak at August Meeting

TVQG speaker for August is Janet Fogg.  Janet is a well-known quilting artist and pattern designer that enjoys incorporating art, imagination, and skills into her art quilts and into her collection of quilt patterns and kits she’s designed for public use.

Diane Bowden to Speak at July Meeting

TVQG’s speaker for July will be Diane Bowden. She is a sewist and a quilter with more than 30 years of experience. While she loves all things quilting, she is an expert piecer. She also writes patterns and Block of the Month programs exclusive to The Cotton Patch as Spinning Moon Ltd.

June Block-of-the Month

TVQG members are invited to make the Ginger and Fred block for our June Block-of-the-Month. Instructions are available in our members-only section. The finished block size 12.5” x 12.5” It’s suggested that you use a print fabric of your choice for the rectangles and a coordinating solid, or tone on tone fabric for the triangles. We’ll hold a drawing for the blocks at our June 19th meeting.

Victoria Jones to speak at May meeting

Victoria JonesSewing and quilting instructor Victoria Jones will be the featured speaker at the TVQG May meeting. Here is what she has to say about her teaching philosophy… “I love to teach sewing and quilting, basic principles or complex techniques. Whether you’re new to sewing and quilting or you’re been sewing for years, I love helping my students learn new techniques. My philosophy is that there is more than one way to do almost anything and I want to help you find the best method for you!”
